The patented* Avalanche® Steel Trip Edge offers a unique plowing solution. Unlike trip systems based on a rubber blade, the Avalanche uses laterally-mounted torsion springs that give exceptional stiffness for cutting through hard-packed snow and ice. This not only gives you more attack in tough conditions but also provides great durability for a long service life.

The Avalanche also comes with the Trip-Lock option. This allows the operator to lock the edge solid when plowing on gravel or scraping stubborn ice; simply removing the lock restores normal trip action. In addition, the pre-load key design means springs can be serviced quickly and safely, without the use of power tools.
